Ginny & Georgia (Season 1)[Dual Audio] All Episodes |[ Netflix Series] | ZneMovies

Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia could have been an excuse for a Gilmore Girls-style TV show—a tender mother-daughter drama made for easy viewing and digestible life lessons. Instead, showrunner Debra J. Fisher and creator Sarah Lampert stuffed the series to the brim. Episode after episode is an exercise in whiplash–the title characters cycle between love interests; varying degrees of deception; new friendships; a mayoral election; and, yes, even criminal activity. That is to say, Ginny & Georgia is half thriller, half coming of age story, sprinkled with doses of comedy in between serious moments. It's a grab bag, and there's truly something for everyone in the addicting show.

The series begins with the titular characters in crisis. After a series of unfortunate events that kept the family on the move for over a decade, Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey), a cunning 30-year-old single mother, resolves to settle down in New England with her alienated 15-year-old daughter, Ginny (Antonia Gentry), and nine-year-old son, Austin (Diesel La Torraca). The first season’s 10 episodes explore the cracks in Ginny’s relationship with her secretive mother and her first forays into friendships and romance, all the while tackling issues of race, class, and identity. Georgia, on the other hand, drowns in her financial troubles while attempting to maintain her facade of put-together charm and southern irresistibility. Underneath all the plot, though, lies the crux of the show: all daughters eventually turn into their mothers. Yikes, I know.

And after all of Georgia’s secrets explosively unfurl in Ginny’s face, there’s no question that there are quite a few loose ends that the show simply must tie up in future episodes. Here’s what that crazy finale could mean for the Netflix show's second season.

GINNY AND GEORGIA TRAILER AND FIRST LOOK AT CRIME SCENE
Following today’s earlier casting announcements, Netflix has released the trailers and posters for Ginny and Georgia and Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel.

Launching on the streaming service on February 24, Ginny and Georgia stars Brianne Howey as Georgia, Antonia Gentry as Ginny, Diesel La Torraca as Austin, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen, Felix Mallard as Marcus, Sara Waisglass as Maxine, Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph, and Raymond Ablack as Joe.
Angsty and awkward fifteen year old Ginny Miller (Antonia Gentry) often feels she doesn’t measure up to her thirty year old mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey). Growing up on the move, Georgia desperately wants to put down roots in picturesque New England and give her family something they’ve never had… a normal life.
But it’s not all carpool and Kombucha as Georgia’s past follows them to threaten her and her family’s fresh start. The series consists of 10 60-minute episodes.
Ginny and Georgia comes from creator and executive producer Sarah Lampert. Debra J. Fisher (Alias, Criminal Minds, Being Mary Jane) is the showrunner and also executive producers along with Jeff Tahler, Jenny Daly, Holly Hines, and Daniel March.
Anya Adams (GLOW, black-ish) directed the first two episodes and the co-executive producer is Elena Blekhter.
“We wanted Ginny & Georgia to be a fun, feel-good ride about women, by women, for everyone; one that depicted a nuanced and complicated mother-daughter relationship, and layered female friendships in a way that isn’t always seen in shows,” said Fisher.
She added: “It’s a show with smart women who are funny and complicated and troubled and intense and have dimension and agency. It has drama, mystery, darkness, humor, and living room dance parties. It’s an entertaining, addictive, juicy ride among the intrigue and suspense. At the core of the series, it’s a great binge escape – especially if you pair it with a nice Cabernet!”
Lampert commented: “We wanted to make a grounded show with real teenagers, real emotions, and honesty. Fifteen-year-old girls go through a lot. Like, a hell of a lot. Something we talked about a lot in the writers’ room is that everyone is fighting a battle that you can’t see.
“And although our characters are flawed we treat them with compassion, which is something the world needs more of right now. We weren’t really interested in labeling our characters ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ or passing judgement on them, but instead wanted to explore their gray areas.
Adams said: “As a young girl, I always wanted to watch a TV show that had a heroine who looked like me and Ginny (Antonia Gentry) was finally THAT GIRL! Her story was compelling and exciting and I wanted to be a part of bringing that to life. The opportunity to be part of creating a coming-of-age series with an all-female creative team that is centered on a mixed-race young woman was ultimately the draw for me.”
